Pastel Gallery

Working in pastels is a real joy for me. I love to see the image emerge after the application of shadow and highlight. It is wonderful to work in such a forgiving medium where changes can be made so easily.

The flowers portrayed all come from my garden, and it's so delightful to wander around it, seeing what's come into bloom and ready to paint. The horses that are used as models are some of the horses I have owned and cared for, as well as from some lucky shots I've taken of others horses. Some of my most memorable pieces are done in this medium.

My pastel work has been shown at Fiorvanti's, The Three Little Pigs, Chester Springs Studio, Chester County Art Association, The Blue Cafe, The Gallery on High, Pottstown Area Artist's Guild, Willow Financial Bank, Eagle PA and the Eagle's Nest.

All pieces are matted and framed unless otherwise noted. All work shown is original and/or based on photographs I have taken.
